Third Excellence: The Path of the Vajrayana

Derived from Mahayana, this school is most closely associated with Tibetan Buddhist practice. This includes a number of ritual and spiritual practices, such as the use of mantras and yogic techniques. Vajrayana’s outlook is to take the result, which is perfect awakening, as the path by using skillful means to rid ourselves quickly of the two obscurations – emotional and cognitive – and gather the accumulations with little effort.

In Vajrayana ignorance is the greatest enemy on the path of Secret Mantra. Through the practices of the Third Excellence, we try to uproot ourselves from ignorance.
